Lukla Airport To Acquire 10 Ropanis of Land For New Terminal

Tenzing-Hillary Airport (VNLK), also known as Lukla airport, is going to acquire 10 ropanis (1.25 acres) of land for its expansion. As per Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the acquired land will be used to construct modern helipad and a terminal.

CAAN plans to demolish the existing helipad and construct four parking bays for domestic aircrafts. The land acquisition is to be completed by next week and the work will resume after July 2017.
