Nepal Airlines has commenced its commercial flight to the Indian city of Bangalore after a gap of 9 years. With this flight, Nepal Airlines has become the sole operator in the Kathmandu-Bangalore route.
The flight to Bangalore RA225 took off at 1:02 pm local time on Tuesday with its second Airbus A320 aircraft Lumbini. The plane registered 9N-AKX took off with 90 passengers on board and will land at Kempegowda International Airport (BLR). According to TKP, the return flight back to Kathmandu has 33 passengers. NA will connect Kathmandu to Bangalore with twice-weekly flights (Tuesdays and Saturdays) this time, which will be increased to three times in a week in the coming days.

In addition to Bangalore, Nepal Airlines will also be resuming its Mumbai flight from September 4. The introduction of new destinations was possible after the airline acquired two new Airbus A320 aircrafts earlier this year. The two A320s frequent the daily flight to New Delhi and occasional flights to Bangkok and Hong Kong.
