In the aftermath of the April 2015 Nepal earthquake, an Airbus A350 landed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for the first time—marking the first-ever arrival of the Airbus A350 in Nepal.
I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the aircraft. It spent about half an hour on the holding pattern due to a congestion in airport parking space at KTM. Here are some pictures I shot when the plane was on final for RWY 02.
Needless to say, this was my first A350 spotting and I felt proud to see it in Kathmandu. A beautiful aircraft with a charming livery—but I expected it to be bigger. Those curved winglets and the cockpit glass look elegant.
